It explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use Farmgrid as a grower, enterprise or co-op customer, advisor, partner, or website visitor.

We collect both Personal Data (information that identifies or can identify a person) and non-personal data related to farm operations and devices.

User account information includes your name, contact details, login credentials, farm or organization information, role, and any other information you provide when you create or manage an account. We refer to this as "Personal Data" where it identifies an individual.
Machine and sensor data includes network and device identifiers, device and sensor configuration, and data transmitted from devices installed on your farm, such as readings from equipment, sensors, and gateways ("Machine Data"). This may include precise field-level geolocation associated with devices and assets.
Data sets and derived information includes Machine Data, Farm Data (agronomic and operational data about your fields, crops, inputs, and practices), and derivative information and analytics obtained from processing those data sets. We also store information imported into Farmgrid on your behalf from authorized third-party systems (for example, OEM platforms, weather, or other data providers).
Platform usage includes information about how you and other authorized users use the platform, such as feature usage, clicks, time spent, settings, and device and browser characteristics.
Providing service includes information about your interactions with our customer support team, such as the tickets you create and the conversations you have with our agents. We may record metadata about support interactions (for example, timestamps, actions taken) for audit and service-quality purposes.

When you visit our websites or use certain apps, we use cookies, SDKs, and similar technologies that are necessary to operate the service, and, where allowed, for analytics and marketing. You can manage some of these choices through browser settings, in-product banners, or preference tools.

Our service providers, who help us operate our platform. These service providers act as our processors or contractors under written agreements that limit their use of Personal Data to providing services to us.
Our marketing partners, who help us deliver marketing communications to you. Where required by law, we only share Personal Data with marketing partners with your consent or in a way that does not identify you as an individual.
Our legal advisors, who may need to access your information to provide us with legal advice.
Government authorities and regulators, when we are required to do so by law or in response to valid legal process.

When Machine Data or Farm Data is shared in aggregated or anonymized form, we take steps so that individual farms or persons are not reasonably identifiable from those data sets.

How do we protect your information?

We use technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest where appropriate, access controls based on job role and need-to-know, logging and monitoring of key system activity, regular backups, and documented incident-response procedures. We limit access to Personal Data and Farm Data to authorized employees, contractors, and service providers who need it to perform their work and who are bound by confidentiality obligations.

How long do we keep your information?

We will keep your information for as long as necessary to provide you with the services you have requested. We may also keep your information for a longer period of time if we are required to do so by law or if we believe it is necessary to protect our legal rights.
